I’m still not quite 100% myself, but I wanted to share a quick update. Yesterday was day 12 since testing positive for COVID, and it was the first day that I finally tested negative. Both Adrianne and I had very mild cases, especially compared to some of our friends and family members who really had it bad. I had a temperature of 100.8 for one day, and other than feeling fatigued and brain fogged for the past week or so, that was pretty much it. Adrianne had it a little worse than me, but not much. The most frustrating part was continuing to test positive for days after the symptoms had subsided. And according to the latest from the CDC, you can continue to test positive for 90 days.
All in all, we were really lucky. The hardest part of the whole thing, at least for me, was not being able to go anywhere and having to stay masked and isolated from Adrianne while being stuck in the house. I rarely get so much as a cold, but when I do get sick, I get cranky and short-tempered and I’m generally just a pain in the ass to be around. Fortunately, my studios are in the basement, which means it’s fairly easy for me to stay isolated and I even managed to get some well-needed clarity and get the ball rolling on a few ideas that have been bouncing around my head for months.
I’ll get back to regular posting next week and share more details about what I’ve been building. What I can tell you now is that I’m taking some time away to reset and refocus on what I and others believe to be one of my superpowers. If you’ve followed me for a while, it might seem obvious once you see it, but it’s definitely taken me a while to realize it, and more importantly, to believe it. I think the first part will roll out sometime in October and I’ll launch phase two after the New Year. If I can actually stay focused and pull it off, I think it will connect a lot of dots for me that I just haven’t been able to wrap my head around. I’m very excited at the potential and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Thanks so much for reading.
I’m so sorry to read about you and your wife contracting Covid. About a year ago my wife and I contracted Covid. We found it to be a brutal experience. Be well soon. Keep in mind that ultimately all is well. Keep rolling forward.
Glad you’re feeling better!!
