This was all over the place earlier in the week, but on the off-chance you missed it, a deep-sea mapping company called Magellan has partnered with Atlantic Productions to create an incredible full-sized digital scan of the Titanic. The BBC shared a terrific article and a clip on YouTube where they used AR to superimpose the 3D model of Titanic inside London Stadium to give viewers a sense of just how massive the ship (and the wreck) really is. The team spent more than 200 hours capturing more than 700,000 images to create the 3D model.
I saw Raiders of the Lost Ark in the theater on opening weekend in 1981 and probably a dozen more times over that summer and I’ve been a fan ever since. In just over a month, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny hits theaters and based on the trailer alone, looks like it will more will make up for the train wreck that was Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. Today, a new clip released by Lucasfilm seems to confirm that this will indeed be the last adventure for cinema’s most famous archeologist. Of course, Harrison has been pretty clear about who should be the next Indy for several years now. “Nobody! Don’t you get it? I’m Indiana Jones,” he said when asked on NBC’s Today show in 2019. “When I’m gone, he’s gone. It’s easy.” Here’s hoping he goes out on a high note.
