I initially started following type7 on Instagram for all of the amazing Porsche-related photographs they post. While they also post art, architecture, and graphic design, honestly, it’s mostly about the cars. I’ve been a Porsche fanboy since my dad bought a Viper Green 911T when I was in junior high school. It’s pretty much been my favorite car of all time ever since, though I’d prefer a darker green one like the one Robert Redford drives one in Spy Game or Steve McQueen drives one in Le Mans. To me, the elegance and simplicity of the design is what has made it a classic for decades. Type7 produced a book all about Porsche design (not just the cars) that looks incredible. It’s called ARTIFACTS and it was produced in collaboration with the Porsche archives and Andy Cruz from House Industries, who I’ve been a fan of for years.
If you end up digging type7, you should also check out a fabulous photographer called Laurent Nivalle. I found Laurent’s work years ago because of his incredible motor sports photography, but he also an amazing fashion and environmental photographer. His black and white is gritty and crunchy and his color grading is superb. I just love the way he sees.

I always knew you were a man of fine taste.
The video for the Artifacts book is pretty cool. You’re right about Laurent’s images. ❤️
