My local music store, within walking distance, had a room of synths, too. But earlier tech: Minimoog, Arp Odyssey, etc. Good times.
I spent many happy hours in that synth room. The irony is that most of those classic synths are now available as software for a fraction of what the hardware cost...and with a ton of additional features!
